About Us

Our Mission

The mission of Project Homeless Connect Buffalo is to fuse political and civic will in a one-day, one-stop array of resources which focuses on immediacy, hospitality, and results for homeless neighbors.

Brief History

According to the Homeless Alliance of Western New York’s 2015 Annual Report on the State Of Homelessness in Western New York an estimated 5,455 individuals experienced homelessness in Erie County that year.

In an attempt to begin to collectively address homelessness in the Queen City the Western New York Coalition for the Homeless adopted the national best practice model Project Homeless Connect in 2009.

Since the first event in 2009 Project Homeless Connect Buffalo has connected over 2,500 homeless and at-risk individuals with hundreds of free services, distributed more than 3,000 gift cards and provided more nearly 10,000 personal care items. For information about each year’s accomplishments please visit the the statistics page.

Project Homeless Connect Buffalo is held at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center in Downtown Buffalo, New York. The event would not be possible without the gracious help of our sponsors.
